On April 23, 2010, Arizona Governor Janis Brewer (R) signed Senate Bill 1070, the most radical immigration legislation in the United States, effectively permitting racial profiling in the state of Arizona. The law requires police to demand immigration papers from anyone who they have a "reasonable suspicion" is in the country illegally. This blog will chronicle the major events regarding this racist and inhumane law.
We enthusiastically encourage a boycott of the State of Arizona until the law is repealed.

Nevada Republican Calls Hispanics Asians

"Nevada GOP Senate nominee Sharron Angle said at a recent event with Hispanic high school students that some of the students in attendance looked “a little more Asian” to her.

Angle has landed herself in hot water for a previously reported remark from the event, in which she claimed that she was “not sure” whether her illegal immigration ad featured Hispanics.

But on Monday morning, the Las Vegas Sun’s John Ralston pulled another nugget from the meeting — Angle said that some of the members of the Hispanic Student Union looked like they might be Asian.

“So that’s what we want is a secure and sovereign nation, and, you know, I don’t know that all of you are Latino. Some of you look a little more Asian to me. I don’t know that,” Angle said, according to video posted by the Nevada paper. “What we know, what we know about ourselves is that we are a melting pot in this country.”"(READ MORE)
