On April 23, 2010, Arizona Governor Janis Brewer (R) signed Senate Bill 1070, the most radical immigration legislation in the United States, effectively permitting racial profiling in the state of Arizona. The law requires police to demand immigration papers from anyone who they have a "reasonable suspicion" is in the country illegally. This blog will chronicle the major events regarding this racist and inhumane law.
We enthusiastically encourage a boycott of the State of Arizona until the law is repealed.

New Major League Baseball Boycott Site

Please take a look at azmlbb.com, a new comprehensive web site taking direct action on Major League Baseball in Arizona.

"In response to Arizona's discriminatory new immigration law, we want to send a clear message to Major League Baseball: move the 2011 All-Star Baseball Game -- now scheduled to be hosted by the Arizona Diamondbacks -- to a setting consistent with MLB's modern tradition of welcoming people from all racial, ethnic, and national backgrounds. Either that, or we'll mount a nationwide boycott of that game." (VISIT SITE)
