On April 23, 2010, Arizona Governor Janis Brewer (R) signed Senate Bill 1070, the most radical immigration legislation in the United States, effectively permitting racial profiling in the state of Arizona. The law requires police to demand immigration papers from anyone who they have a "reasonable suspicion" is in the country illegally. This blog will chronicle the major events regarding this racist and inhumane law.
We enthusiastically encourage a boycott of the State of Arizona until the law is repealed.

Jeb Bush Speaks Against Arizona Law

Of course former Florida Governor Jeb Bush has been married to a Mexican woman, Columba Garnica Gallo, since 1974. His father, former-Vice President George H.W. Bush, famously made a gaffe while talking about his grandchildren from Jeb and Columba calling them "the little brown ones." George W. Bush along with Jeb support comprehensive immigration reform but shied away from pushing it through because the Republican congress threatened to kill it. They are up in arms again about immigration reform on the table now.

POLITICO reports Bush's displeasure with Arizona's law:

""I think it creates unintended consequences," he said in a telephone interview with POLITICO Tuesday. "It's difficult for me to imagine how you're going to enforce this law. It places a significant burden on local law enforcement and you have civil liberties issues that are significant as well.""
